Solstice Calisthenics Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Solstice Calisthenics collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the app.
By using Solstice Calisthenics, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the app features you choose to use.
A. Account information
If you create an account or sign in, we may collect and store:
- Email address
- Firebase user ID and account identifiers
- Sign-in method, such as email/password or Google sign-in
- Email verification status
B. Profile information
If you use profile features, we may collect and store:
- Display name
- Username
- Bio
- Country or location selection
- Selected skill-tree goal node
- Official YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and website links for official accounts
- Optional profile avatar or avatar-related data
- Public profile visibility settings
- Selected featured completion nodes and current focus nodes for public display
Usernames are intended to function as public-facing handles inside sharing and identity-related app features.
C. Workout and app data
Depending on which features you use, the app may store:
- Workout history
- Deleted workout history kept for recovery
- Active workout state
- Exercise library and custom exercises
- Routines and training plans
- Weekly schedule and reminder settings
- Body stats and measurement history
- Calisthenics progress, pinned skills, and achievement dates
- Gamification data such as XP, levels, streaks, achievements, quests, currency, or related progress
- App settings and personalization preferences
- Backup and restore metadata
D. Device and permission-related data
If you enable certain features, the app may store or use:
- Notification preferences and scheduled reminder settings
- Local backup settings and backup files created on your device
- Timestamps related to sync, backup, restore, and app actions
E. User-initiated sharing
If you choose to share workout summaries, profile snapshots, achievement images, or similar content, the app may generate text or images that include information you selected to share, such as:
- Username or handle
- Workout details
- Progress information
- Profile or achievement snapshots
Shared content is sent only when you choose to use a device share action. Once content is shared to another app or service, that third party's policies apply.
If you create or publish screenshots, recordings, livestreams, or other social media content using the app, the content you publish may reveal information you chose to display or share.
F. Public profiles
If you enable a public profile, the app may make selected profile and progress information visible to other users who search for your username inside the app.
Depending on the settings you choose, a public profile may include:
- Display name
- Username or handle
- Bio
- Selected skill-tree goal node
- Country or location if you choose to show it
- Official, moderator, or tester badge status if applicable
- Official YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and website links for official accounts if provided
- Selected featured completed nodes
- Selected current focus nodes
- Optional progress summary such as level, XP, streaks, and summary skill-tree counts if you choose to show it
You can turn your public profile off or change what is shown from inside the app.
G. Profile moderation checks
To help reduce abusive or inappropriate profile content, the app may send profile text fields such as username, display name, and bio to a profanity-filtering service for review.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create and manage accounts
- Authenticate users and maintain sign-in state
- Sync profile data across devices
- Provide public profile viewing and username-based profile lookup when you choose to enable it
- Save, restore, and back up your app data
- Provide workout logging, progress tracking, reminders, and related features
- Enforce username uniqueness and basic profile moderation rules
- Generate content you choose to share
- Respond to support requests and maintain app security
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
3. Where Information Is Stored
Your information may be stored:
- On your device, including app storage and local backup files
- In Firebase Authentication for sign-in and account identity
- In Google Cloud Firestore for account profile data and cloud save data
- In Google Cloud Firestore for public profile data if you enable a public profile
- In temporary or generated files used for features such as sharing and export
4. Cloud Save, Backup, and Retention
If you use cloud save, your app data may be uploaded to cloud storage tied to your account.
Cloud save data may include, as applicable:
- Workout history
- Deleted workout recovery data
- Routines and exercise library data
- Body stats
- Active workout data
- Settings and backup-related settings
- Calisthenics progress and gamification data
- Profile avatar data if included by the backup flow
Local backup files remain on your device until you delete them, uninstall the app, or your device removes them.
Cloud-stored data may remain associated with your account until it is deleted. Clearing local app data inside the app does not automatically delete cloud saves already stored for your account.
You can currently:
- Delete your Firestore cloud save from inside the app
- Delete your account from inside the app, which is intended to remove your account profile, username claim, cloud save data, and app-managed local data on the device where you perform the deletion, including managed profile avatar files and local automatic backup files created by the app
Some account deletions may require you to confirm your sign-in again before the deletion can be completed.
Deleting your account inside the app does not automatically delete backup files, screenshots, recordings, posts, or other copies you previously exported, saved, or shared outside the app.
5. When We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only in the following situations:
- With service providers that help operate the app, such as Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Google sign-in services, platform notification services, and the PurgoMalum moderation service
- With other users if you enable a public profile or intentionally share content using the app's sharing features
- When you intentionally share content using the app's share features
- If required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request
- To protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of the app, users, or others
6. Third-Party Services
The app currently relies on third-party services that may process data in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies, including:
- Google Firebase Authentication
- Google Cloud Firestore
- Google Sign-In
- PurgoMalum, for profanity screening of certain profile text fields
- Operating system notification and sharing services on your device
We recommend reviewing the privacy terms of those third-party providers as well.
7. Notifications and Permissions
If you enable reminders or timer-related notifications, the app may request notification permissions from your device. You can usually disable notifications in the app settings or your device settings.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of storage, transmission, or online service is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
Solstice Calisthenics is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact SolsticeCalisthenics@gmail.com so we can review and address the issue.
10. International Processing
Because the app uses third-party cloud providers, your information may be processed or stored in countries other than your own.
11. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your information.
You can currently:
- Edit profile information inside the app
- Enable, edit, or disable your public profile inside the app and control which supported fields are shown
- Delete your in-app cloud save
- Delete your account and app-managed local data from inside the app
- Export local backup files from the app
- Clear local app data on your device
- Contact us if you need help with deletion, believe account-related data remains after using the in-app deletion tools, or need guidance about copies you exported or shared outside the app

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date above, publish the revised version, and provide an in-app notice that the Privacy Policy was updated.
